Description
The 1960s. Every summer, hundreds of Native American families travel to the blueberry plantations of the U.S. state of Maine to earn a little extra money by picking berries. Six-year-old Joe works alongside the adults, and at the same time is supposed to look after his younger sister, Ruthie. But one day he leaves the girl for just a minute on their favorite boulder—and Ruthie disappears without a trace.
