Every country is proud of its great storytellers: France—Charles Perrault, Denmark—Hans Christian Andersen, Germany—the Brothers Grimm.
And in Finland, there lived an amazing author named Zacharias Topelius (1818–1898). He was a scholar, a poet, a writer, a collector of Karelian-Finnish and Sami folk folklore. And he also invented magical stories that children and adults have been reading for more than one century.
Of course, he wasn’t a “pure fairy-tale teller,” and to the fame of our great Pushkin he was far. But many of his fairy tales are well known even here.
“The Sea King’s Tales” combined the best works of the great Finnish storyteller. This audiobook includes the fairy tales:
▪️The Tracks of Unda Marina — read by Yulia Bochanova ▪️The Prince Flurio’s Channel — read by Alexander Kraskovsky ▪️Silver Cup of Unda Marina — read by Tatyana Mikhalevkina ▪️The Gift of the Sea King — read by Sergey Zamorov.
