The Japanese writer Yasunari Kawabata has a collection of short stories—reading each of them doesn’t take much time. It’s as if they can be held in the palm of your hand. The author called this collection “Stories in the Palm of the Hand,” and I liked that title so much that I decided to borrow it for my own collection. Of course, some of the works turned out to be larger than “palm-sized,” but I decided to include them anyway.
In total, I recorded 101 stories. Naturally, they’re all different. So for convenience I decided to sort them. Now you can choose what to listen to depending on your mood or preference—fantastic or mystical; written in the genre of magical realism or fully realistic stories. There are also stories by Japanese authors included. Enjoy listening!
