Besides, if anything happens, none of us will live to see a trial. After all, nobody knows about our existence—unless, of course, “interested parties” have their suspicions. Still, those suspicions remain only suspicions; otherwise, I can imagine what frenzy, shrieking, and outrage the democratic press would unleash—“Killers!!! Fanatics!!! Monsters!!!”
…But who cares about those purchased scribblers! We don’t consider ourselves criminals; we’ll answer only to God and our own conscience. What the Lord will decide at the Last Judgment is unknown, but our conscience is at peace…
