Three fairy tales for grown-up children about the secrets of the universe, science, and the meaning of life.

One fairy tale is Icelandic: about the hidden people, a red pony named Freya, and a girl named Katla who wanted to study the stars. The other is post-Soviet: about how Alya Zaitseva met abroad her deceased aunt Ira, who received an extra life. The third is Greek: about an incredible incident from the life of the philosopher Thales of Miletus.

“Red Freya” is a collection of unbelievable stories born where lyricism, mythology, and knowledge intersect. These science-fiction and fantastically scientific fairy tales will tell us about phenomena we still can’t understand or explain, about how we perceive life and one another, about existential doubts, the magic of science, and the supernatural nature of existence.
