Knight in Distress, Lady on Guard

I helped a girl in trouble—and it turned out she was a man enslaved. I went to a ball at the palace and became a political criminal. Now I’m not only in trouble, but on the run. Together with the slave.

On my path to saving myself, I suddenly grew companions. Shy, cowardly, and slightly abnormal—yet faithful. And also, my teacher caught up with me, gave me a good scolding, and didn’t want to let me go.

Our relationship is tense, complicated, and not without a dark past. Now all that remains is to cleanse my name, get to the Crystal Forest, and not fall in love a second time.

The first book of the trilogy.
