Fish: A History of One Migration

The story of a Russian woman, carried by a torrent of dramatic events from Central Asia to Russia, who stands against the relentless flow of life—and sometimes even suffocates, like a fish without air, without understanding and human mutuality… The nickname “Fish” stuck to the heroine is unfair and insulting: you can’t call her either cold or unfeeling. Vera is a nurse. And she truly heals—everyone who needs her, who seeks comfort and love from her. Her prayer: “Father-God, help them, and as for me—whatever You wish!”
