Maigret's Christmas

In the house opposite Maigret live Mademoiselle Donkèr and Madame Marten. On Christmas night, an unknown man dressed as Santa Claus breaks into their apartment. He brings a doll for little Colette, and then begins searching the floor for something—he even lifts the parquet, as if trying to uncover a carefully hidden secret.
