Description
The well-known writer Vladimir Kazakov calls his new novella a lyrical farce of the new century. It is a funny and tragic story of love. An unsuccessful attempt by an adult to play by youth’s rules, to jump into the last car of “a normal” life, ends for him in disappointment. But the hero doesn’t give up—he continues to live his own life, laughing at the world and at himself. The whole story unfolds against the fate of a young prostitute who is in love with the hero—whom he, for fun, decides to “reform.” An eternal Pygmalion story, with an adjustment for the hero’s helplessness and unpreparedness for today’s cruel reality. The author does not put a full stop to the narrative—probably everything ends the way it should, that is, well.
