A radio play from the Soviet Gosteleradiofond archive, based on the eponymous comedy play by Emil Braginsky and Eldar Ryazanov. Learning that Irina Burova has a very wealthy and influential father, Zaplatin decided to marry her. At first, Ira didn’t suspect the groom’s selfish plans. And her father—who lived by the principle “you’re for me, and I’m for you”—also played a rather dishonorable role in this story. Ira figured it out in time; everything ended well, and she found happiness with another person.
