Description
After a shipwreck, sailor Robinson Crusoe finds himself on a deserted island. He is the only survivor; everyone else died. At first despair overwhelms him, but life goes on, and he has no choice but to start equipping the island—especially since some items from the shipwreck, which grounded nearby, were salvaged. Ahead of him are incredible adventures and countless trials.

Before you, perhaps, one of the world’s most famous stories. “Robinson Crusoe,” published in 1719, gave rise to the classic English novel. The book is written in the style of an autobiography. Most likely, the novel was created under the influence of a real story that happened to Alexander Selkirk (1676–1721), who spent four years on a deserted island in the Pacific Ocean. Today, that island—part of the Juan Fernández archipelago—is named after Defoe’s literary hero.
