In the near future, where neural networks have penetrated every aspect of human life and the widespread level of automation affects everyday life as never before, a teacher named Pavel accidentally becomes the subject of an unusual experiment. By fate’s will, ending up on a job exchange, he meets a neural network of the new generation, indistinguishable from a person. Connecting to the system for selecting a new profession with a special device, the teacher discovers that his fate now depends on the whims and algorithms of artificial intelligence. He is transferred not only across different eras and places, but also into different roles. Such misfortunes prepare plenty of trouble—will he be able to break free and, in the process, make the right conclusions?
