Renaissance of a Different Mind

Eleven people end up in a secret laboratory. All of them have superpowers. Scientists subject them to experiments. The subjects learn what terrible fate the scientists have in store for them and decide to escape. When the escapees try to cross the Sahara desert in a light aircraft, they get caught in a storm and accidentally activate a very ancient artifact. As a result, they are transported to a satellite of a very ancient civilization, and then to a space station. The station’s artificial intelligence asks them to find its missing creators. The escapees agree. And then their adventures in space begin.
