Real Madrid

Real Madrid is a club with a history. And while it isn’t as long as that of some teams that stood at the dawn of professional football in English clubs, nor as that of Real’s sworn enemy, Barcelona, it is nonetheless glorious—filled with victories and trophies. So what is that story? Intrigues inside the club’s leadership coexist with the selfless dedication of many of its presidents; disputes and discord between the president, the coach, and team members—as well as among the players—coexist with examples of astonishing unity among the people occupying these positions to achieve common goals. In it, brilliant mentors replace worthless ones, while “star” footballers lead the team both to great achievements and to deep failures.

But the fact remains: today Real Madrid is one of the most titled football clubs in the world, and it is in it that, at least one season each, the greater part of the most talented players of all times and peoples played. This team is great and unsinkable—and it’s no wonder that one of the famous chants of its fans goes: “Real Madrid—forever!”
