Divorce. I Never Let You Go

“What happened, Arina?” Makar asks, keeping his heavy gaze on me.
“Vasya says she saw you with someone else. Is it true? Are you cheating on me?”
“Are you in your right mind?” he almost snaps, sharply looking at Vasya. “What are you trying to achieve?”
The sister shrinks and nervously bites her lip.

The phone buzzes, pulling me out of it. I take it out and see a message from an unknown number.
“Mak ar is my husband. Got it? And with you, his marriage is invalid. Check the documents, you fool!”

Then comes a photo: Makar and a dark-haired woman in the same bed.

“God…” The phone slips from my fingers. My sister immediately catches it and smirks with vicious triumph.

“I told you! I said he goes around! Look!” She shoves the picture in front of my mother.

“Arina, it’s not what you think,” his voice—like from far away—says… her husband’s.

But is he really my husband?
