My husband’s words sound like thunder on a clear day. This morning we were so happy— and now…
“Divorce?” I repeat, hollowly.
“But there must be a reason…”
“There is a reason,” he answers dryly. “Infidelity.” He passes by, indifferent, barely glancing at me—and I feel like I can’t breathe anymore. The pain of betrayal eats me from the inside, but I have to be strong.
“Andrey?” I call. He flinches.
“Hears.”
“Let’s do it as quickly as possible.”
