“So you’re just an incubator.” Almost gently, but with disgust, she says, curling her perfectly made-up lips. “What are you staring at? Did you really think he would be yours? Forever?”
An extremely well-groomed piece of trash with a model’s looks stands in the middle of my hallway. Mine.
In my house.
“Yeah, he never even loved you!” the woman pushes, stepping closer. “This child was needed for him only for the position!” She nods toward my bulging belly. “What? Didn’t know? Well, now you do!”
And I, stunned, press my hands to my round belly.
“Right now I’m here!” she continues. “This man is with me! Which means this house is mine too!”
And she shoves me.
Hard.
I stumble. My heel slips. And the world slides sideways in a very unpleasant way.
