Not much is known about the children’s writer Ekaterina Boronina. Born in Leningrad in 1907, she studied at Leningrad State University, collaborated with the children’s magazine “Ёж,” and also with the youth newspaper “Смена.” She authored several novellas and collections of stories for children. That’s perhaps all. But probably the most important thing isn’t the dry facts of her biography—rather, the remarkable works of this wonderful writer, preserved and still available to readers today in all their purity and kindness. An audio version of the best of them awaits you in this collection.
