Vitaly Valentinovich Bianchi (1894–1959) is a well-known writer, a classic of Soviet children’s literature. Many generations of children in our country grew up on his books. During his lifetime, he wrote more than 300 stories, fairy tales, and novellas. Bianchi’s books, which reveal the world of nature and help you learn its secrets, still enjoy deserved popularity among readers of all ages. The language of his stories is light and vivid, and it is aimed directly at a child’s imagination and fantasy.
With his works, V. Bianchi tried to instill a careful, respectful attitude toward nature. As he put it: “Plants and animals, forests and mountains, seas, winds, rains, dawns—the whole world around us speaks to us in all voices… There are people who translate these voices into our human language—the language of love for the full beauty and wonder of our universe.”
You’ll find the most famous and engaging works of the writer on this disc—“Mouse Pik,” “The Titmouse’s Calendar,” “How the Little Ant Ran Home,” and others—125 stories and fairy tales in total.
