Description
Nikolay Borisovich Deynev (real last name Popov; May 18, 1946, Moscow) is a Russian writer, prose author.
Russian critics often compare him to Mikhail Bulgakov; foreign critics— to Castaneda or Marquez. And this is not accidental: reality in his works borders on philosophy and mysticism. In 2003, his novel “Playing with Words” was included in the “long list” of candidates for the Booker Prize.
The writer also published a number of short stories included in books.
