In this audiobook, four collections of works by the famous writer of the early 20th century Isaac Emmanuelovich Babel are presented: “Stories 1920–1937,” “Line and Color,” “Guy de Maupassant,” and “Sin of Jesus.” In them, the author with his characteristic naturalism depicts bloody, and at times also tragicomic scenes of the Civil War, the organization of the first collective farms, and food expeditions.
The collection “Sin of Jesus” includes the writer’s erotic stories; after they were published, the author was accused of pornography, and only thanks to the February Revolution was he able to avoid trial.
