The war of 1941–1945 is shown through the experience of a front-line reconnaissance officer, Viktor Koshelev. The military-adventure novel “The Path of a Warrior” immerses the reader in the atmosphere of the Great Patriotic War and tells the story of the hero’s growing up and service—from cadet years through battles for Crimea, conducting special operations in the Balkans and the Baltics, and up to training at a reconnaissance school. The dynamic plot draws on both real historical episodes and the authentic biographies of the war’s participants. For those familiar with the author’s previous books, it will be interesting to learn how Sergey Lysenko’s fate turned out— the character from the novel “The Amur Falcon.” AST, 2025.
