Migratory Birds

A collection of prose by Vyacheslav Malyzhik features lively and diverse stories and the novella “Transfer Birds,” about teenagers from Moscow who, in the 1960s, discover rock ’n’ roll and learn this music—unusual for Soviet culture. In the characters, readers may recognize famous people familiar from childhood.

The “Album” section contains interesting stories about how the eponymous vinyl record by Vyacheslav Malyzhik was created. Each song has its own chapter, where readers will find stories that can be funny, lyrical, or instructive—but always captivating. In the electronic version of the book there are QR codes and links for online listening to the corresponding songs.

At the end of the book, there are poems written by the author between 2016 and 2022 and published for the first time.
