Psychology of the masses and analysis of the human “self” is one of Sigmund Freud’s most important works, in which he applies the method of psychoanalysis to masses. Freud makes an important step, moving from the psychology of individuals to the analysis of social processes. In the book, he introduces the concept of the “mass soul” and thoroughly examines the mechanism by which the emotional bond between a person and a mass is formed. This work is a classic and proves that psychoanalytic method is universal and can be applied not only to an individual person, but also to large communities.
