At the center of treacherous intrigues on a universe-wide scale is an unremarkable little house in an old district of Rome. There, the famous Moneychanger of Souls, Adam Masers, set up his Shop—temporarily stopping the slipping along the axis of time. This house is meant to become the cradle of Id-droid, a powerful cyborg whose consciousness is synthesized from the strongest paranormal traits of selected human representatives from different eras. But Id-droid needs not only the Moneychanger of Souls, and that’s why, for several centuries now, the most relentless member of the distant-future Hunters’ Race has been tracking the lucky adventurer’s trail.
