This story is an independent part of Pavel Amnuelya’s novel “Purely Scientific Murder.” The action takes place in modern Israel. The main character and narrator is a historian who works at Tel Aviv University. He is friends with the police commissioner who lives in the same building and investigates criminal cases, and he takes part—within his ability—in unraveling criminal stories. “Direct Evidence” begins at the Paris airport Orly, where the hero, sensing some mysterious outside influence, gets lost in the airport and almost misses his flight. And then… his seat neighbor suddenly dies…
