What could possibly bring together a single mother who works as a secretary and is most of all afraid of being fired; a famous producer who hopes that marrying a capricious beauty will let him start life anew; an older architect who, the day before, was told by a doctor about a fatal diagnosis; and a young female lawyer who believes that the color of her skin will prevent her from building a career? In ordinary life, they’d hardly have anything in common. But fate—an inveterate prankster—shuffled the cards and forced them to meet in a Paris hospital, giving each of them a chance at happiness.
