Description
Franz Kafka (1883–1924) was a German-language writer, born in Prague, the capital of the Kingdom of Bohemia, which was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He became famous for novels published posthumously. His works are written in the genre of absurdism, with an ever-growing sense of fear of the individual toward the external world and society. One of the most striking examples of the author’s work is the novel “The Trial.” The main character is arrested and put on trial, yet he himself can’t understand what he is being accused of. Even the judicial system can’t explain it. Living in constant fear and unsuccessfully trying to beat bureaucracy, the hero slowly moves toward a tragic ending.
