The Prophet. The Story of Alexander Pushkin

A novelization of the long-awaited 2025 film starring Yura Borisov in the lead role tells the story of Alexander Pushkin’s life. The audiobook is narrated by Sergey Gilev, known for his role as General Alexander Benckendorff in the film. The narration focuses on the man rather than the legend, showing Pushkin through the lens of his life—from studying at the Lyceum to the tragic duel. This is the story of a young, audacious, and popular poet whom both friends and women adore, yet who can’t escape his fate—facing exile, duels, and poverty. Only meeting that very woman brings light into his existence.

Yulia Matveeva adds an accessible nonfiction commentary to the story. Olga Tihanova, known for her debut novel “The Project ‘Getting Married’,” is the author of this novelization. Sergey Gilev, the well-known Russian actor, and Yulia Matveeva, a PhD in philology, also participate in the project.
