Kolyma land, which keeps many secrets—memories of camps, icy cold, gold, and extraordinary beauty—suddenly becomes the place where Masha flies to celebrate her birthday. Her friend prepares a gift: an excursion to the caves of “The Sleeping Knight,” mountains at the foot of which lies an almost abandoned settlement, Synegorye. A group of four people descends into the caves and gets lost. After some time they emerge to the surface, but the settlement looks different. What awaits these people in the place they never expected to end up? Is this story connected to the disappearance of Masha’s relatives in these places many years ago? Will the girl expect that it’s here she will meet a fairy-tale love that will carry her through time?
