The Passerby

Alek­sandra Korzhukhina—an artist, restorer, and seller of antiques—receives a new commission. She’s offered to present at an auction a collection of ancient magical spheres, and this is only the first step on a path that draws her deeper into the back rooms of a world where truth and lies can’t be distinguished. Museum storage rooms, private collections, auctions—everywhere, fakes are more convincing than originals. And only the feeling of a loved one seems real to her.

The novel is a continuation of “The Sun Eight Minutes Ago,” and the main characters return to the scene.
