In a street fight, a medical institute student Mikhail Zverev is killed—and at night his corpse gets up and leaves the morgue. An investigator from the prosecutor’s office managed to warn a journalist so that, using the noise in the press, the case would be handed over to the city prosecutor’s office, but there is no body—so there is no case either. Mikhail Zverev comes to himself on the bank of the Yauza River in the Babushkinsky area. The general of the FSB Kovalev appears to the prosecutor’s investigator and takes the case, stating that the investigator lacks the clearance required for the investigation… and the investigator learns that the journalist to whom he passed information about the fight and murder was hit by a car near the morgue from which Zverev’s body escaped…
