Genevieve Timmins arranges fake séances, but soon she gets caught by the police. To avoid the gallows, Genevieve agrees to a strange deal. She must go to Somerset Park estate and, with her tricks, convince the grieving owner, Mr. Pemberton, that his late fiancée, Lady Audra, has found peace.
