Anna Ovchinnikova is known as a translator of fiction: she has translated dozens of fantastic and detective novels, most of which were published by the Eksmo publishing house. But she also has her own books in the genres of science fiction and fantasy; some of them have been released in print. This novel was written to take part in the children’s and young adult science-fiction literary contest “Territory F” and made it to the final.

Robert’s father is an extremely powerful man: he is a multi-billionaire, the owner of his own space city, and stands at the helm of a whole industrial empire devoted to mining crystal-sciolites. But Robert is an ordinary boy, and in his head is the same thing as for other boys—passion for adventures, mysteries, and dangers. All day long he secretly explores abandoned airlocks.

One day, Robert accidentally ends up on a planet his father bought, called Vezhuha. There he meets an orphan who lives alone and is raised by robots. This boy is the complete opposite of the “sciolite prince,” yet he becomes his real friend. But Robert’s family is unlikely to approve of this friendship, just as they wouldn’t approve of the dangerous trips to the planet Vezhuha made in secret from the family. At the same time, Robert himself is threatened by danger: a mysterious android constantly tries to get to his life, but neither his parents nor close people believe him—after all, androids have always been completely obedient machines.
