“Stop staring at her already!” I hissed irritably at my friend, who couldn’t take his eyes off Michaela—who, by the way, had a lollipop in her mouth. “She’s just been licking it…” Mareyn groaned. “You should’ve seen it… And I already have. That’s exactly why I’m angry—because I was too worried about the blood from that sight.”

“She’s a little troublemaker—the one who grew up next to me since birth. Damn it! I call her my sister, and she calls me her brother!”

“Enough!”—and I grabbed my drooling friend by the collar and dragged him away.

“What’s your problem?” he grumbled. “I’m just looking at her—can’t I do anything else?”

“You can’t!”—he snapped immediately, feeling the magic rage in his chest.

“Because she’s my sister!”
