Ernest Seton-Thompson (1860–1946) is a Canadian-American writer, animal artist, naturalist, and public figure of British origin. One of the founders of the scouting movement in the United States. Seton-Thompson preferred life beyond the city walls—in forests and prairies. Everything he wrote is permeated with a love of nature and wild animals.
