Fairy-tale stories about the adventures of a teddy bear.
Czesław Janczarski wrote the world-famous fairy tales “The Rabbit-eared Teddy Bear” and “Tales of the Rabbit-eared Teddy Bear.” At first, the stories were published in the children’s magazine “Misha,” which was popular in the Soviet Union as well, and then they began to be issued as separate books translated into many languages of the world. The books were illustrated by Zbigniew Rychliński.
Janczarski was the creator and chief editor of a cycle of television programs— the Polish equivalent of “Goodnight, Kids.” The shows aired every two weeks from 1957. The hero of the programs was also Misha with rabbit ears.
In 1975, the short film studio Se-Ma-For (SE-MA-FOR) in Łódź, Poland, made a puppet series with Misha with rabbit ears in the main role.
