“The Adventures of Liderik” is a historical-adventure novel by the French writer Alexandre Dumas, published in 1842 and based on legends from Northern France and German epic poetry.
The novel’s events take place in the Frankish kingdom in 628–640. The ruler of Dijon dies in the Flemish forest; his wife manages to hide a small son, Liderik, from the enemies.
