Cook's Adventures in Russian America

The events described in the historical narrative “The Adventures of Cook in Russian America,” despite its slightly ironic title, are absolutely authentic. These events relate to James Cook’s third circumnavigation (1776–1780). Its goal was to find the Northwest Passage from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic. It was a voyage full of disappointments, surprises, and tragic for the greatest navigator himself.
