Every morning Kristin Lucas wakes up in an unfamiliar room—in bed with a man she doesn’t recognize. Every morning this man patiently explains to Kristin that he is her husband, and that she has been suffering from amnesia since she was a child who had an accident when she was young. Following the advice of a doctor who is dealing with her case, Kristin secretly begins to keep a diary, writing down everything she manages to learn and remember during the day. Desperately trying to piece together her past from fragments of memory, Kristin asks more and more questions—both of herself and of the people around her. But each new memory that resurfaces scares her even more; it becomes increasingly difficult for her to understand what actually happened to her many years ago and what erased her entire previous life from her memory?
