Description
For the first time, the novel “A Holiday That’s Always with You” was published in 1965, already after Hemingway’s death. The author managed to finish the book and even wrote an introduction for it, but he didn’t have time to make the final revisions before the manuscript was submitted to print. Therefore, small editorial changes were made by the writer’s widow. She also, on the advice of friends, chose the book’s title.

The writer lived in Paris, wrote novels in cafés, and borrowed books from the bookstore “Shakespeare and Company,” which was at the same time a library. He was friends with F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ezra Pound, discussed books with Gertrude Stein, had lunch with James Joyce, and drank cognac with F. M. Maddox Ford. Memories of the days spent in Paris are one of Hemingway’s best books.
