Human Rights of the Future

In the book “Human Rights in the Future,” Rajneesh Osho discusses the UN declaration, emphasizing that humanity has not yet become civilized.

People who have held power for millennia—priests, politicians, the wealthy—have the power to prevent humanity’s evolution. But the best way to stop it is to convince a person that they are already civilized. “You are already civilized human beings. You don’t need to change; there’s no need for transformation.” And the weakness of a person is that, knowing full well that neither civilization nor human sensitivity exists yet, they still believe the nonsense and lies fed to them by politicians, preachers, and teachers—only because it’s easier to believe, then nothing needs to be done.
