Tonechka is a loving and beloved wife, a daughter, and a mother. A happy one, one might say! She is also a well-known screenwriter, and her husband—director—has her beside him always and everywhere: at work and on vacation. They live like soulmates, understanding each other with half a word... Or does Tonechka only think it’s that way? One day they travel to a beautiful old city. Her husband Alexander is supposed to meet an old friend whom Tonechka doesn’t know. Who is this Kondrat Yermolaev? Her husband says—chef, but it seems more like a thug. At any rate, right in the presence of the capital’s guests, he is detained on suspicion of murdering his wife. Alexander clearly has something to hide; worried Tonechka tries to figure out what’s happening on her own—and finds herself at the very center of a detective story, the plot of which is completely unclear to her as a screenwriter.
