Description
Romain Gary, also known by the pen name Émile Ajar, was a well-known French writer of Russian descent. He was a winner of the Goncourt Prize and the author of books such as "The Kites," "Your Ticket Is No Longer Valid," and "The Light of Women." In one of his novels, "The Pardoned Head," he tells the story of an impostor who lives in Tahiti under different disguises to squeeze money out of tourists. His real name and past remain a mystery to those around him.
