Potential Victims

Moscow, present day. A young woman, Karina, is forced to begin working for a mysterious organization that eliminates potential victims. “Potential victims” is what her colleagues call people infected with a curse that, reaching its peak, compels anyone nearby to kill the cursed person. Karina’s job is to identify in the crowd who might be a potential victim; her colleagues’ job is to eliminate a potential victim before the innocent person does it.

The former schoolgirl suddenly has everything: easy money, an apartment in central Moscow, wealthy friends, admirers, and a huge infatuation. For all of this, she only needs to point at the person her colleague will kill. It seems like your hands are clean—but are they, really?

Still, the girl quickly has no time for philosophical questions—an engineered work mechanism starts to fail. With each day, the number of potential victims grows larger and larger. Karina and her colleagues will have to do what no one managed to do in the years before—find out who or what is the cause of the curse.
