The Settlement

One day, a spaceship crashed on this planet. The people tried not to die in a hostile environment—and they succeeded. That is how the Settlement was born. But with each year there are fewer of them—the ones who remember and who were not born here. And they understand that you can survive by merging with this world—like their children, the new Mauglis of this planet—but to remain human you can only preserve the old knowledge, at least trying to return to Earth. And for that, they must establish a connection in the abandoned ship.
So, year after year, a handful of exhausted people storm the Pass, knowing not all will make it. Hoping that at least one will.
