"The Last Look" is a delicate, elegant story of an "imaginary journey" undertaken by Ernest Hemingway and his close friend and rival, Francis Scott Fitzgerald, in search of a castle described very differently by Victor Hugo and Honoré de Balzac.
Which of the writer-friends is right and who is mistaken? In essence, that’s not so important. What matters is that during this sentimental journey, Hemingway and Fitzgerald have to reveal themselves—and each other—in a new way, and their chronicler—a young, serious guy—will see not only them, but himself as well… differently.
