When, in a fire, the owner of a candle like this dies, Nobutaka gets a new lead. The investigation leads him to an ancient curse: many centuries ago, four samurai read *kaidans* during the days of memorial for the dead and thereby brought disaster upon their lineage… Now their descendants are being pursued by a string of horrifying and inexplicable deaths.
