One of the best novels by the famous Russian science-fiction writer Alexander Beliaev is devoted to uncovering the mystery of Atlantis. The material for the novel is partly taken from the book “The Disappearing Continent” by the French author Roger Devigny. Atlantis, the sixth part of the world, and the starting point for the novel’s creation was a note in the French newspaper Figaro about registering a society for the study and exploitation of Atlantis. In Beliaev’s novel, the myth of Atlantis takes on one of its brightest and most memorable forms.
