Ernest Hemingway’s novella “The Last Good Places” was not finished, but after reading it, the impression is that only the external plot could be continued, while the inner movement has already been completed and the artistic program of the work has been fulfilled. The novella is distinguished by a typically Hemingway-like language, vividness of its imagery, and a high humanistic intensity. The manuscript was given to the Ernest Hemingway Foundation in 1970 by the writer’s widow.
